Installing ODI 11g

In the previous post, we have successfully executed RCU and created Repository schema for ODI ( i.e ODIDEV_ODI_REPO ).

Now let us start installing ODI 11g. Please follow the below guidelines.

1) After extracting zip folders you will see these folders in ODI software.

 

2) Go to disk1_1 of 2 folder and run "setup.exe". You will see the below window.

 

3) Click on "Next" button. 

Just select "Skip Software Updates" and click on "Next" button.

4) Select ODI Studio, ODI SDK, ODI Standalone Agent, and click "Next" button.

 

5) It will checks for Prerequisite. Once after the successful verification, click "Next" button.

 

6) Select a directory to install.

Ex:- D:\ODI11g

Then click "Next" button.

7)  Select "Configure repositories" radio button and click "Next" button.

Give the below details:

Database Type: Oracle Database

Database connect string: localhost:1521:mvcdb

Database User Name: ODIDEV_ODI_REPO

Database Password: Admin$1234

click "Next" button to proceed.

8) Give ODI password: Ex:- Admin$1234.

Click "Next" button.

 

9) You will see work schema screen. Click on "Next" button again.

10) It will ask you to enter "Agent name and port number".

Agent Name: ODI11g_Agent

Agent Port number: 60000

11) Uncheck "Receive updates" check box and click on "Next" button.

Ignore the warning and Click install button to start installation.
